Below are a few frequently asked questions about our year planners and the year planner production process. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, please drop us a line.
Should you wish to proceed with an order, we ask that you supply all logos and corporate imagery as well as company colours and brand guidelines so that we can integrate them into a design customised to your business. We will then submit the design for your consideration and feedback. Once the design has been amended and approved, we will submit a proforma invoice for payment via BACS (prior to print production and fulfilment).
Tinstar’s promotional year planners are designed as advertisements for our clients’ businesses. They’re not intended to be used as in-house stationery – they’re branded with your company logos and contact details and created for you to send out to your clients. This is why we don’t create short runs of under 100.
Our minimum print run is 100. You could have fewer than this, but a run of 5 would cost the same as producing 100. The more you order, the lower the unit cost. If you’re just after one year planner for your office, you might like our colourful perpetual year planner – but it would not be possible to re-brand these for you company (unless you ordered 100 or more).
We can design your promotional year planner pretty much any way you would like. We have created designs that are surrounded by photographs or advertisements – and others that have large-scale artwork integrated into the calendar itself. The only restriction is that we have to leave enough space for the calendar, which necessarily occupies the largest area in the centre of the design. Take a look at some of our past designs on our home page to see what’s possible.
Absolutely, yes. If you have custom dates that are important to your industry or business, just let us know what they are and we’ll integrate them into the calendar.
We include a number of UK and Irish public holidays in all of our year planners. These can be added to or removed – whatever is your preference. The kind of dates that are included are (amongst others) British Summer Time start / end dates, saints days and public holidays. UK bank holidays are highlighted in an easy-to-see box on the relevant dates.
All our year planners (unless otherwise specified) are litho printed onto 150gsm silk paper using four colour process printing. All calendars are then laminated with a gloss laminate on one side, which results in a high-gloss, write-on /wipe-off surface. After being laminated they are trimmed to size and ready for delivery.
The production of Tinstar Year Planners is a multi-stage process, which is why it is always advisable to place orders in plenty of time. As a rule we ask clients to allow approximately ten working days from the approval of proofs to delivery. In addition, it would be advisable to allow at least five working days for the design of the planner to be completed and approved. All year planners are invoiced in advanced of production, so the sooner payment is received, the sooner we can get the project to press.
Single year planners are available via our tiny shop. Our perpetual year planners are printed using exactly the same print process as all of our promotional year planners, so by purchasing one of these you’ll be able to get a fabulous looking perpetual wall calendar as well as an accurate year planner sample.
Absolutely every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the content and dates contained within our year planners. However, it is the client’s responsibility to check the supplied proofs very carefully for errors. No liability will be accepted for any errors (either within the calendar or anywhere else on the printed surface) that come to light after a proof has been approved for production.
